Ma Dwyers Guest House, NavanOne of Midland Contractors on-going civil contracts would be for Outokumpu Tara Mines in Navan. Midland Contractors won the contract for the maintenance work within Tara Mines in 1979 and have been working on-site ever since. The general maintenance contract would involve the continuous upkeep of the road networks throughout the mines both underground and over ground. In addition to the maintenance contracts Midland Contractors have won major contracts over the years which have included the substantial development of the Tailings Dam which holds the entire waste water coming from the Mine. Other projects have included an underground canteen facility, an underground service garage where all the underground machinery is brought to and repaired.

Midland Contractors has recently completed an over ground canteen facility and they are currently completing the construction of an ESB substation.

During the boom years Midland Contractors did not concentrate on a Specific area of the construction, this has given them valuable experience required for winning tenders.
